Mica Tape for fire-resistance cable

Description:

Mica tape for fire-resistant cable is made from high quality mica paper, bonded to supporting materials of non-alkaline glass fabric or polyethylene film by high temperature resistant silicone resin.

According to the mica paper and supporting materials, mica tape for fire-resistant cable has the following different types:

Mica paper: phlogopite mica paper or synthetic mica paper

Reinforced material: single side or both side reinforced by Glass fabric and/or PE film
Enterprises with advanced facility are suggested to give priority to mica tape with single side glass fabric reinforced to reduce cable production cost. Mica tapes with double sides reinforced either by film or glass fabric are suitable for equipments with requirements of high tensile strength particularly.

To ensure the fire resistance property, 50% overlapped of two layers is minimum requirements.

Suggested type: GT-P-GS: single side reinforced phlogopite mica tape with glass fabric
